Andrea Vallejo is a recent graduate from Aurora University majoring in Political Science and Public Policy, with minors in Latino Studies and Pre-Law. Currently, she works as the Alumni Liaison for the Young Ambassadors Program in Washington D.C., a program that fosters the next generation of Latino community-conscious leaders around the country. Post-grad, Andrea has been selected as an Illinois Dunn Fellow, where she will be working at the Office of the Governor as a part of the External Affairs team. During her time at Aurora, she co-founded HOPE, served as a Senior Senator in Student Government, and is the first Harry S. Truman Scholarship Finalist in Aurora University history. Recently, she became a co-author in Today’s Young Inspired Latina with thirteen other inspiring Latinas. Andrea’s aspiration is to become an immigration attorney and is determined to help others attain their American Dream. Overall, her goal is to make an impact in the areas of policy, education, immigration, Latinos, women empowerment, or internationally.
